7.6/10

The hotel had spacious, clean rooms with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, although it was quite impossible to rest without being disturbed by noise. The service was excellent, with lovely staff making sure the room was spotlessly clean. The location was convenient, within easy walking distance to the city center. The dining experience was not as good as expected, with limited options, but the fresh orange juice was a nice touch. However, the price was a bit high for what was offered.

The hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were a bit of a mixed bag with some issues like a stuffy atmosphere and lacking bedside cabinets but made up for it with good decor and spaciousness. The service was top-notch, attentive, and with a warm attitude. The location was a major plus, offering easy access to the city's main attractions. The dining experience was enjoyable and great value for money.

The hotel had its highs and lows. The rooms, although a bit cold initially, were cozy and charming, but the delayed heating was a downside. The service was exceptional, with friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect for exploring York, with convenient parking. The dining experience offered good choices but lacked a bit of variety. Overall, a mixed experience with its own set of charms and flaws.

7.4/10

My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were spacious, extremely clean, and had a huge comfortable bed, but the presence of some sort of animal in the roof space caused noise issues. The attempt to offer a premier inn feel fell short, and the heating was poor, requiring me to use a fan heater for additional warmth.

The hotel is in a real good spot, with secure on-site parking and friendly staff. The bed was real comfortable, providing a good night's sleep. It's a short walk to the city center, the Minster, and not far from the station.
Dining

The dining experience was a mix - well-organized on Sunday morning with excellent local produce but limited choice. However, the homemade biscuits in the room were a delightful touch.
Facilities

The hotel offers its own safe parking and a bar area. However, the annex room was not very nice.

I had a lovely stay at the hotel despite some minor inconveniences. The rooms were clean and a good size with a comfortable bed, but it was a bit cold at times. The staff were very polite and friendly, and although the weather didn't cooperate with lots of rain, I still enjoyed my time there. However, the hotel was not as close to facilities as I expected.

Rooms

My stay at the hotel was a mix of great and not-so-great experiences. The location was nice, with some nearby bars on the way to the Minster area, and the staff, especially Stu, were fantastic and very helpful. However, the room I stayed in was at the rear and a bit airless.

Rooms

My room at the rear of the hotel was very quiet and clean, but a bit airless. It was comfortable despite being in the attic.
Service

The staff were very amenable and friendly. Stu was particularly fantastic and helpful, even assisting me with my belongings in the rain. However, there was a slight delay in addressing my complaint about the shower.
